The aim of collaboration is for everyone who needs health services to feel that they are cared for in a coordinated way across all stages of the care pathway.
Contact usContracted specialists are medical specialists and specialists in psychology who have an operating agreement with the regional health authority in the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority. They are an important part of specialist health services and account for a large proportion of outpatient activity.
Sørlandet Hospital also enters into a cooperation agreement with each contracted specialist in Agder, and the clinical department follows up on the specific cooperation.
In addition to the agreement between SSHF and the contracted specialist, the following applies to our contracted specialists:

In the Health Community, the municipalities in Agder and Sørlandet Hospital HF work together to ensure high-quality, sustainable and equitable health services for the people of Agder.
The Collaboration Physician Scheme (SLO) is a network of GPs who work in small consultancy positions in hospital departments, with the aim of improving collaboration between GPs and hospitals.
Unwanted collaboration incidents must be reported. The aim is to prevent recurrence and reduce the number of incidents.

Digital exchange of messages includes the sending and receipt of discharge summaries, referrals, PLO messages (care and support messages), laboratory and radiology results, and similar.

An advance care planning conversation is one or more discussions between a patient, doctor and, if appropriate, nurse about further treatment. There is increasing focus on and demand for advance care planning conversations with patients.

Municipal inpatient urgent care services are intended to improve patient pathways and bring services closer to where patients live.
The service aims to reduce the number of emergency admissions to specialist healthcare services. Patients offered the service should be those who would otherwise have received treatment from specialist healthcare services.

Agreements and joint guidelines
Here you will find our cooperation agreements with the municipalities in Agder. The agreements have been approved by the parties through the municipal councils and the board of Sørlandet Hospital, respectively.
Statutory agreements – revision in progress
Unless otherwise stated, the agreements have been entered into between Sørlandet Hospital and all 25 municipalities.

Agreement on intravenous antibiotic treatment using an infusion pump in the patient’s home between Sørlandet Hospital HF and the municipalities
Sørlandet Hospital HF (SSHF) offers intravenous home treatment using an ambulatory infusion pump in cooperation with the municipalities in its catchment area. The agreement has been entered into with all municipalities in Agder except Gjerstad, Vegårshei and Åmli.
