Oxygen Contact Network

Nurses at the Respiratory Medicine Day Centre provide relevant patients with information about the network and clarify whether the patient wants follow-up from an oxygen contact in their municipality. Nurses in the municipalities make home visits to oxygen users who have accepted the service.

The home visit should take place shortly after the patient is discharged from Sørlandet Hospital with equipment for home oxygen treatment.

The patient will continue to receive follow-up through home visits a couple of times a year.

During the home visit, achecklist​ 

is completed (this is sent to the Respiratory Medicine Day Centre – see the address on the checklist)

Courses:Courses for the network are held 1–2 times a year. Invitations are sent to the network by email (ifyou do not regularly receive emailsfrom the network, submit “change to the membership list” (link above)so that we can register you/updatethe email address we have on file).

Work placements:Nurses in the network can also spend a day on a work placement at the Respiratory Medicine Day Centre by sending an email request to:lmd@sshf.no
