The Liaison Physician Scheme has been established in all four health regions, and an increasing number of hospitals are engaging experienced general practitioners in part-time liaison physician positions.
Through the Liaison Physician Scheme, SSHF has agreements with general practitioners who work up to 20% of a full-time position for Sørlandet Hospital. The liaison physicians contribute to the departments’ work to develop cooperation between primary health services and the health trust. Their work is at an overall, system level and does not concern individual patients.
