First, you will undergo a hearing test. The result of the test will be put in context with the challenges you experience in everyday life. The goal of this is to create a common understanding of your treatment needs. The test is performed by an audiologist or audiologist, and then an ear, nose, and throat doctor.
An audiologist has special knowledge about audiology (the study of hearing and sound), hearing aids, and other audiological equipment, and how these can be adapted to users with different types of hearing loss.
Hearing test
You will also have a conversation with us about hearing and possibly hearing aids.
We will show you different hearing aids that may be suitable for you based on the type of hearing loss, lifestyle, fine motor skills, and vision.
To have the cost of hearing aids covered by NAV (Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration), we must submit a separate application that you must sign. We will help you with this. There is no co-payment.
After the hearing test and consultation, you will meet an ear, nose, and throat doctor for further examinations and diagnosis.
