SimSørlandet is a leading training and professional development centre at Sørlandet Hospital. We use simulation as a teaching method and practise technical and non-technical skills in exercises focused on communication and teamwork.
SimSørlandet runs courses and takes part in professional development days. In collaboration with departments, we can tailor practice scenarios to meet their needs.
We organise and hold regular exercises at SSHF. We practise with the emergency medical team, paediatric team, cardiac arrest team, trauma team and neurology team. SimSørlandet is a key part of the thrombectomy project at SSHF. SimSørlandet runs the Mini Invasive Centre at SSA, where we offer laparoscopic simulation and surgical skills training. We collaborate with the University of Agder and act as contacts for Helse Sør-Øst through SimOslo.
The municipalities of Agder and departments at Sørlandet Hospital can contact SimSørlandet for assistance with equipment, premises or a facilitator. We also help run team training with tailored scenarios.
