PIH Multi

PIH Multi is a group-based, intensive training and treatment program for preschool children with cerebral palsy with a gross motor function classification level (GMFCS level) IV and V, or who have similar complex functional impairments.

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a developmental disorder caused by brain damage that occurred before birth, during birth, or within 2 years of age.

Group start is once a year and the program lasts for approximately one year. The program alternates between treatment stays at the hospital (up to six weeks divided into three stays), and follow-up training in the child's home and kindergarten. The goal of the program is to contribute to optimizing the child's development of skills within communication, motor skills, and self-management - cognitive and social skills.

Transport

You may be entitled to have necessary expenses covered when traveling to and from the treatment location.

You should primarily use public transport, and you must pay a deductible. To get reimbursement for expenses incurred during the trip, you must fill out a travel expense form and send it toPatient travel.

Practical information

RIB offers the possibility of accommodation in our family house. The family house is located in connection with HABU/RIB and has two apartments and four family rooms that can be used free of charge during the stay.

All rooms in the family house have their own bathroom with shower and have cooking facilities. There is also internet access, telephone, TV/Radio and refrigerator. There is access to a washing machine, tumble dryer and iron during the day. Bed linen and towels are included.

Adjacent to the family house is an adapted outdoor area with playground equipment.

Parking spaces at Sørlandet sykehus are subject to a fee from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00. All those who wish to park on the hospital grounds must follow the signs and instructions on the payment machines.

A valid HC card provides free parking. 
At the entrance to the HABU building, there are three HC spaces and several regular P spaces. HC vehicles are exempt from time limits unless otherwise indicated on the signs.
