Habilitation for children and young people (HABU), Arendal

HABU provides interdisciplinary specialist healthcare services to children and young people aged 0-18 years with congenital or early-acquired conditions that affect the nerve/muscle system, and which result in impaired function or a concerning development that requires further investigation.

The goal of our services is that children and young people with such disabilities will, to the greatest extent possible, achieve mastery, independence, and participation in society.
We offer interdisciplinary assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. HABU collaborates with other specialist healthcare services, general practitioners, municipal health and care services, kindergartens, schools, special education services (PPT), and other services for children and young people.
