Recruitment and Collaboration Grants

The grant should stimulate and strengthen cooperation between municipalities and healthcare providers regarding service development and good patient pathways.

The purpose is further to facilitate a good decentralized service offering through increased collaboration, good quality, and proper division of labor. The Agder Health Community, via the Strategic Collaboration Committee (SSU), has been tasked with prioritizing and allocating funds to relevant projects/initiatives.

Who can apply

A joint application is prepared in collaboration between municipalities in Agder and Sørlandet Hospital.

Areas for which grants can be applied

  • Measures that promote recruitment and good use of personnel across levels
  • Measures that contribute to better collaboration
  • Prioritized patient groups are
    • children and young people
    • elderly with frailty
    • people with severe mental illness and substance abuse problems
    • people with multiple chronic conditions
  • Services within
    • pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care
    • integrated mental health and substance abuse services
    • rehabilitation
  • Measures and areas that can reduce waiting times in hospitals
  • Measures that reduce the number of patients ready for discharge who remain in hospital
  • To cover incurred costs where the collaborative measure contributes to one party incurring increased costs, while the other achieves savings

 

Requirements for the application

  • Agreement between municipality/municipalities and the hospital
  • The anchoring must be in place before the application is submitted
  • A signed agreement between the municipality/municipalities and the hospital must be attached to the application
  • Grants can be applied for small and large projects or measures
    • Applications can be made for multi-year grants
    • The prerequisite is that the grant from the state continues

It is assumed that

  • the amount received in the grant will, as a rule, be co-financing that supplements the parties' own resource input
  • projects/improvement work are carried out based on simplified templates in the Project Wizard

  • The subject line of the email should be:
    Application for Recruitment and Collaboration Grant 15th December 2025
  • The sender will receive an email confirmation that the application has been received

This is what happens with the application:

  • The Portfolio Secretariat receives the application and checks that the formalities are in place
  • The application is then assessed against the requirements and criteria described in the call
  • The Portfolio Secretariat then submits a recommendation to the Portfolio Board, which decides on any allocation.
  • A response to the application will be given in writing and can be expected 1-2 weeks after the Portfolio Board has processed the application

    The Strategic Collaboration Committee (SSU) has the function of the Portfolio Board.

 

  • The grant must be used in accordance with the project description
  • Funds may be required to be repaid in the event of deviations
  • Details for financial management will be provided by the Portfolio Secretariat
