Network for oxygen contacts

The network's goal is to provide good follow-up and security for patients who use oxygen. This is to increase collaboration and further develop expertise.

The network consists of nurses at the Pulmonary Day Center (Sørlandet Hospital), resource nurses in various departments at Sørlandet Hospital, and resource nurses in municipalities in Agder.

Overview of members in the network

You can report changes to the membership list via our electronic form.

Report changes

Due to technological development, no new users of liquid oxygen have been initiated since 2017. Oxygen users in Agder who have liquid oxygen for home use have now received a letter stating that the equipment will be replaced during 2022. All users have been contacted by a nurse following the letter. Users will receive equipment tailored to suit each individual. Contact us if you have any questions about this.

Nurses at the Pulmonary Day Center provide current patients with information about the network and assess whether the patient wants follow-up from an oxygen contact in the municipality. Nurses in the municipalities make home visits to oxygen users who have accepted the service.

The home visit should take place shortly after the patient is discharged from Sørlandet Hospital with equipment for oxygen treatment at home.

The patient will be followed up further with home visits a couple of times a year.
