New resource package for working with children affected by caring responsibilities in the municipalities
BarnsBeste is launching a new resource package that will provide municipalities across the country with better tools to support children affected by caring responsibilities.

The resource package has been developed in collaboration with 22 municipalities, healthcare personnel and experts from BarnsBeste, with the aim of creating a flexible and user-friendly tool adapted to local needs.
- This is an important part of the work to ensure that children affected by caring responsibilities do not go under the radar, but that they receive the support they need and are entitled to, regardless of where they live in the country, says Mary Ann Esperaas, professional advisor at BarnsBeste.
The resource package contains guidelines, tools and training modules and is developed to help municipalities identify and safeguard children who are in difficult life situations due to health challenges in the family.
Health challenges can be disabilities, mental illness, addiction, serious somatic illness, injury or death.
