Breach of deadline
If you have been given a deadline for healthcare and have not received the healthcare by that deadline, you are entitled to be offered treatment elsewhere.
You will receive a letter on Helsenorge with information about the breach of deadline. Contact Helfo if you would like to be offered treatment somewhere other than with us, or if you would like information about your rights and options. If you do not want an alternative treatment option, you will remain on the waiting list here with us.
The deadline you have been given indicates how long it is medically safe for you to wait for healthcare. If Helfo can find healthcare for you elsewhere when a deadline is breached, this means a shorter waiting time and thus strengthens your rights as a patient.
