Construction work at Eg

We are building an emergency care building and a health centre together with Kristiansand Municipality. This may cause noise and vibrations while you visit the hospital. We will do our best to minimise the impact on you.

Work in October 2026

Groundwork is underway to prepare the construction site, located behind the main building (building 10). This includes:

  • Piling
  • Excavation and replacement of soil
  • Lorry traffic to and from the construction site

The work may cause noise, vibrations and shaking at times.

A temporary construction road will be built behind the Cancer Treatment Centre. In week 41, demolition work is taking place in the area by the car park and the entrance to the palliative care unit. The area is secured, and pedestrians will be directed through a cordoned-off area while the work is underway.
