User support for e-treatment

In connection with the use of the treatment programs in e-treatment, challenges may arise related to access, login, or other use of the treatment program. Here are some tips and tricks:


IDporten is used for login. This is the same type of login as in your online bank or public services such as Altinn, Helsenorge.no, and more. If you lack access to the login options, it explains how these can be ordered via your bank or other providers.

Problems with logging in for the first time?

  • Login is not available until you have received an SMS from the hospital stating that you can start in e-treatment.
  • Have you received an SMS, but login still doesn't work? Then it is probably an error registration of your profile. Call the DPS where you met your therapist and let them know so that this can be corrected.

Each treatment program consists of modules containing pages with various topics you should read. There are also homework assignments for each module. In addition, there are worksheets several times throughout the course, and various questionnaires related to the treatment program.

eBehandling is guided internet treatment. It is the therapist who gives you access to the next module when you are finished with the content and assignments. It normally takes about a week of work per module. Your therapist will inform you on startup which days they are usually logged in and follow your treatment path.

Primarily use the messaging service in the program to stay in contact with your therapist along the way, if you have questions or something you want to communicate. If necessary, the therapist can also contact you by phone or set up an ordinary conversation along the way.

Remember that this is not a chat where the therapist reads messages immediately. If you have questions about your condition that need quick clarification, we recommend that you call the DPS.

The text material you read and submit in the treatment program is placed in a library you find within eMestring. Here you will find print-friendly versions of the modules you have completed. This will be available for six months after the completion of treatment.


Technical errors can occur, and we want to resolve these as quickly as possible so that you can use the treatment program in a good way. If there are technical problems you cannot solve via your therapist at the DPS, you can send an email to emestring@sshf.no. Briefly describe the challenge you are facing.

Remember that sensitive data should not be sent by email. Do not send text or pictures with usernames/personal identification numbers or password information by email.
